It's more then clear the animal is a coyote with mange !! Mange means the animal gets a parasite, which causes the hair to fall out, and the skin looks dark and rubbery. Just saying. It's nothing more then that. Uggghhhhh !! Can't believe anyone would buy into this. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 823361 United States 02/26/2010 11:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Not a coyote. First off they are a bit larger and second they have short hair. Like I say. Seen them. Quoting: ashesand sackclothRight, but A coyote with mange will not have any hair, like the one in the video. If you noticed the run of the animal, it was similar to that of a coyote as well. There was nothing unusual about the fangs, nor the paws Not that I'm doubting YOU OP. I'm doubting the breed of new dog, and NatGeos choice to show a program on this. I'm telling you, it's a coyote. |

Quoting: ashesand sackclothI watched it 3 times. Not seeing the stripes. Im dead serious too. I'm looking for photos of coyotes with mange, and as the guy said in the video this new breed of dog has a smaller lower jaw. All photo's I'm finding of coyotes show they have lower smaller jaws. |

Watch the video again, and tell me these arent photo's taken from the videos in the program. They are coyotes. Sorry OP. |

(OP) User ID: 6964 United States 02/26/2010 11:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some people are saying the coyotes back east are actually not coyotes but a small wolf-coyote hybrid. Apparently they've been studying the DNA of the dogs who killed that Canadian musician woman and found this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 888883I'd agree with this. Seen a coyote coming down the road here in front of the farm. Big healthy and size of a small wolf. |

These dogs I saw put you in mind of a Hyena. Had to look up how to spell Hyena and look what I found for a definition. Any of several large strong nocturnal carnivorous Old World mammals. Interesting. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 822427 Canada 02/27/2010 12:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay that is two different programs I have watched that have both gotten their hands on these creatures and said they were going to take them for testing. The other video was from a while ago, haven't they figured out what it is yet, how come no answers yet? Or do they already know what they are and just picking up the remains and disposing of them? Like wtf? |
