I drive a 2009 Toyota Prius. It is hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned. The handling and fuel efficiency are top notch and it's fun to drive! I drove a 2007 Mercedes prior to my Prius, much more expensive all around, fuel, maintenance, etc. I feel great about driving a reliable, fuel effecient car which lessens my carbon footprint. When I need to fuel up it costs me around $27.00 these days to fill my tank. I see all these dinosaur SUV's around town usually with just one driver in them and I think what a waste. These people are paying through the nose every time they fuel up just to drive a giant car around. I wish more people would realize that oversize everythingin America is not always a good thing...

The Prius is WORSE THAN A HUMMER

So much more pollution is generated in its manufacturing process ( the batteries are the culprit) you'd have to drive it 15 years before you MATCHED the carbon footprint of a Hummer driven the same number of miles .....oh wait , the batteries have to be replaced every 10 years.
The
majority of pollution and co2 emissions a car will generate over a 10 year period happen before its ever driven....its the manufacturing process.
An enormous amount a CO2 and pollution for the steel
An enormous amount of CO2 and pollution to manufacture , transport and assemble to components
If you're concerned about pollution and your "Carbon Footprint", the Prius
IS THE WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE.
