I have a variable scope on my synthetic stock Savage 795. Great at 100 yds.

ive got a 9mm springfield xd9
not the stopping power of a 45.. but cheaper amo.. readily available. and it will put someone down..

ive got a sig sauer mosquito.. a fun little 22 but in a tactical shape..
cheap cheap cheap amo.. will scare anyone away if they are shot at.. not for real defense.. but pre-emptive defense..

just picked up a 30-06 remington with some NICE glass on it (scope)..
this along with my ghillie suit will be my main weapon of choice in an epic battle of us vs them..
this bullet will blow anyones head off... if need be..

picking up a 12 gauge this weekend for close quarters home defense/ bird hunting...
I dont hunt at all... because im not really into killing animals.. but when food gets scarce.. and my 1 year supply goes dry.. Ill be eating birds.


I think im good at that.. now ill just be collecting amo and some amo making gear.

Remington 870 express with the regular barrel so you can hunt for food and perimeter violators when TSHTF.

#7 shot, BB, 00 buck or a slug. It all works adequate.

A slug breaks things behind that which are protected by even dragon armor.

Think fishing as well. Even methods now illegal because if TSHTF there won't be any DEP rangers out checkin' anything.

Buy M-80 and other significant fireworks for stunning fish. Electrodes and a hand crank generator to drive worms out of the ground. Xenon flash electronics is high enough voltage to stun fish to the surface.

Get an AR 15 and .22 conversion kit (Spikes Tactical). Now you have a weapon that can shoot .223 or .22 and you don't have to change weapon platforms. Sure as hell saves a lot of money when practicing and you have the best of both worlds.

Would something like this also be available for an AK? Im guessing a new upper assembly?

What exactly is ACP. If I pay $85 in TN to go to a hand gun safety course do I need to bring my own gun?

Is the way to become a better shooter just to go to gun ranges and shoot targets?

I love it! You'll be able to change out bolts in under a minute.
I don't have experience with an AK conversion so i don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. Maybe another member can help you out on that.

get a couple of .22 rifles and/or pistols so your wife and daughters can practice with them :) (just in case)

I'd recommend 2 rifles

one .22 for small game hunting and practice

and a higher caliber rifle for Zombies ..AK-47 would do the job!
