who else here is bullish on gold?
the way the economy looks, were are headed to a double dip recession. the dollar and the euro are in the toilet and they look like they're only going to sink more.
it seems that gold is a wise hedge against this depression force. with that said, gold is at an all time record high.
so, is buying gold risky at the moment?

i'm thinking gold will only go higher.
but, i'd like to hear some other people's opinions.

thanks!

I don't know but I am going to do a lot of panning for gold this summer. I don't work enough and I live near an old gold mining town so I'm going to give it a go.

some of the people i've been talking to are saying "but it is so expensive right now. it can't stay that high..."
it makes me think twice, even though i know it will probably go much higher.

Forget Double Dip.

My prediction has been an Elliot Wave ABC downtrend from the get go.

14k is about 58% pure
31 grams is almost 1.1 ounces.
1 once 100% pure gold is going for $1,200
that means, you got a horrible quote.
you can't try to sell it to a pawn shop though.
talk to a gold dealer. you should get about $600

I think it will keep going up in the long run, if the doom is not too bad. There will be a point when you'll have to dump it for survival items if the major doom sets in. Not sure on that call. I bought mine in 2005 so I'm just riding the wave. I'd also consider silver. If I could buy more I probably would.

More Bullish on Silver.

Gold: A More Meaningful Correction Is A Distinct Possibility.
Whereas a gold price break is not necessarily my forecast I am warning investors that a more meaningful correction is a distinct possibility.

And why could gold correct? As just mentioned, the bullish consensus among investors is for my taste too high and the deflationists seem to have currently the upper hand.

I would buy another ounce if I could.

Here's what I would build;

60% Silver
30% Gold
10% Rhodium
