Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1106145"A pod of 101 pilot whales stranded on the same beach in 2007. New Zealand has one of the world's highest rates of whale strandings, mainly during their migrations to and from Antarctic waters, one of which begins around September. Since 1840, the Department of Conservation has recorded more than 5,000 strandings of whales and dolphins around the New Zealand coast. Scientists have not been able to determine why whales become stranded" What the hell is wrong with these scientists? Why don't we ever get to see the necropsy reports when these things happen? Why does New Zealand, have the world's highest rates of whale strandings? What's going on in New Zealand to cause this? Navy Sonar, change in ocean temperatures & currents, dead zone, toxins, chemicals, pollutions? Why can't these scientists figure this out? They probably do know why, they just don't want us to know why. Last Edited by Lil Miss Trouble on 09/22/2010 12:10 PM |

My thought as soon as I read thread title! In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. Could the equinox effect them naturally and no one noticed before ? Has this ever occurred at New Zealand before now ? In addition to the 40 still alive and stuck on the beach, another 50 were spotted just offshore, he said, though some of them had since beached. Good Job getting this posted, Blessings. all the wildlife, humans and planet struggling so, are they warning us? are "THEY" killing them? BOTH? To be fair this beach has had whales beach themselves on it before, but they still don't know what causes it. It's sad they try to help each other and end up dying :( Thanks too! How do you know they're trying to "help" each other? |

Very typical especially of pilot whales, you could probably put half of em back in the water and a large number of those would re beach themselves trying to link back up with the rest of the pod. |

Same thing happened before the Christchurch earthquake. This doesn't always happen before quakes, but in the 4 oto 5 years that I've been studying earthquakes and possible precursors, I've seen this a few times before a large quake hits nearby. :gp81: "Staring down the hole again. BRIEF AND TO THE POINT
User ID: 381742 United States 09/22/2010 01:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: ºEATº Wow, that was a short interesting article...What have you done with EAT?! Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support! :Brieffromnativea: |
