Re: Judgment Day... Are You Ready???
Or do you honestly think 2000 years later, after many translations, many versions, that the words are exact "as they came from god?" That can't even be the truth. The difference between the KJV and the NIV vary greatly.

Which one of those is correct?

oh and by the way, I have yet to see any such "variations" from different bibles that say something that is totally different to each other.

Not even a single case.

You're joking, right? The NIV has a ton of stuff that has been completely omitted.

Re: Judgment Day... Are You Ready???
I will not debate your lack of Faith with you.
If you have no Faith in God, that is your problem?
For I cannot fill you with Faith, only God and His Son, Jesus Christ can.

Rather, I will pray that God will give you Faith so that you can believe and be saved.

In Jesus Christ.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 720033

I do have faith in God. And what kind of a Christian man are you anyway belittling my faith? It is MY FAITH - A very personal thing. I am proud of my faith and I am comforted with his love around me. But just because I'm not a copycat of you doesn't mean I lack faith. That is a judgment you cannot make of me. God may judge - man may not.

God and I are good. I'm sorry that it angers you that my relationship with him is different than yours. But I'm totally okay with that. However people find their own way to God is up to them. It will be different for each person, and I would never tell anyone that their faith isn't as good as mine. I don't judge that way. God loves all.

Matthew 12:47
47Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."

Matthew 17:21
21 But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. (this is added as a footnote)

Matthew 18:11
11 The Son of Man came to save what was lost. (footnote)

Matthew 21:44
44He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed."

Matthew 23:14
14 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Therefore you will be punished more severely. (footnote)

Mark 7:16
16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear. (footnote)

Mark 9:44
44 where / " 'their worm does not die, / and the fire is not quenched.' (footnote)

ETC... for the rest.
As you can clearly see, these verses exist. And even these collaborating the witness accounts of these writers of Matthew and Mark and Luke and the other Gospels.

Ask yourself. Do you care for what the print more or for the actual content of the words on the page you are reading?

And if you say you are more interested in the print and how it looks, slap yourself and tell yourself to read the words and meditate on it.

Again it is your lack of FAITH.
BELIEVE and BE SAVED!

In Jesus Christ!

I don't care either way. I don't use a bible to talk to God. You keep talking about my lack of faith. You know nothing about me and yet, you are judging me. Only God can judge me. You are not God.

Re: Judgment Day... Are You Ready???
Even Christ says wide is the road that goes to destruction and many travel on it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 720033

And He also says He'll save them. In the parable of the lost sheep, the Greek word for "lost" there is apollymi which is translated as "destroy" a couple dozen other places in the new testament, and is the same word "perish" in John 3:16. The Shepherd is committed to seeking and finding even the one final destroyed sheep, until all are safe.

We *have* to look beneath the surface English translation to see what is really being said. If we believe the bible is God's word, isn't it kind of important to get to the root of His intent, instead of merely settling for what educated men have shoved in His mouth?

Scripturally, "Lost" is the same as "Destroyed", and no matter what we wish to call this condition, it is not beyond the Savior's hand to remedy.
But instead, Religion Inc. has put sole responsibility upon the sinner to carry out rituals for his own salvation, reducing God to a mere observer, as if He's watching from the balcony with his fingers crossed hoping that a world full of defective people will get it right. Nevermind that scripture claims that none seek after him, and that mankind is largely blinded. You can't damn a blind man for not being able to see - that would be heartless and illogical. Is that really how God does things?
