The nice thing about it is that everyone qualifies for it. Seems like a good program. The Light of Life Ministry is not aligned with any man-made religious organizations for one simple reason. All man-made religious organizations have been found by Christ to bear only falsehoods and half-truths. We have been ordained to minister ONLY the Truth as relayed to us by the Father, Christ and the holy angels and holy ghosts appointed to guide and watch over our ministry. *********************** The Truth about the Spiritual War that is going on all around us and the End Times we are living in... Just hoping that others will chime in with opinions. I think I may try the mid-size order for my Sister and B-in-law. Comments? "I'm still here, you bastards!"...Papillion |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1118415 United States 10/22/2010 08:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Not worth it IMO. Maybe because I live in AZ and our food prices are low. I did an item by item comparison of this weeks box and I would be paying 20% MORE by going through Angel Food. If you live in a high cost of living area it could be a good deal. |

Quoting: I am Free? MaybeVery few of my aquaintences are eligable for food stamps. (I'm sure you know the drill). BUT... $40.00 bucks to keep you afloat for a MONTH? Seems almost to good to be true. It would be nice to have a LITTLE variety from the beans and rice thing. Meat here is becoming affordable only to a few. Thank God I have chickens and rabbits! Anonymous Coward User ID: 1023601 United States 10/22/2010 10:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Our church has been doing the "Angel Food Program" for about a year or so. My wife and I did not care for the food stuff but others can't seem to get enough. I think we really did not believe there was that great of a savings especially when you get those frozen items seasoned with seasons we don't like. Customers or locals can order through our church and pick it up on a certain Saturday morning each month. Some churches purchase the food stuff, break it up and use it in the food pantry for the community. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1080742 United States 10/22/2010 11:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've tried it. The food is good. One problem I found is they pick what's in the package you purchase. You may like some of the things, but some things will be wasted if you don't like it all. The biggest drawback though that I found was that you pay for whatever you get up front, but don't get the food for about a month. If I need food I don't need it in a month, I need it right then. |

Ya get what they give you. When you order it is delivered to the pick up point once a month, so order enough for the month. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 565148And just what are you going to eat during that month while you are waiting to get the food from them? |

But then again, who can afford anything better? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 889607I have never had their food, but some of my friends have used it and say this too. I was told it is like restaurant meals, the kind they heat and serve you. Tastes great, but if you are concerned about processing and chemicals may not be for you. IMO, the food quality was very poor and poor selection for what my family eats. btw - I'm the mother to 10 homeschooled children & happily married to their father. |

If I need food I don't need it in a month, I need it right then. I want to participate but there are 2 drawbacks for us - 1. you can only pick up the food on a Saturday which is the Sabbath, can't do that 2. Pork is among the meats they put in there, we don't eat pork per Lev. 11. I can't say I don't want it (they told me so) so I just would end up throwing it away. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 924261 United States 10/23/2010 02:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is not offered in my area, but I have read about it. I personally think you can do better by shopping sales at your own stores locally. You will be buying things that you know your family will eat, and not wasting money on stuff that they/you do not like. Also, I read that even if you do like what is in the box, you can often find it cheaper if you look for sales in your own area. |

User ID: 1139005 United States 10/23/2010 11:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mopar, Quoting: Shabbat 1024279You have a good point...but what about when we go go campmeeting, pay for our Sabbath meals in advance, and then go to eat the meals on Sabbath, prepared by the volunteer staff? Or do you have another scenario for your family...? We pay for our food (grocery) that we eat on the Sabbath. That is a gray area, not sure how to answer that. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |
