Where do you see that anybody said anything about liberals?

OK, I reread the original article and that coach's unclear statement might be a complaint. I did miss this. Is he a liberal? I mean you are actually agreeing with some guy predicting the end of competition via hippies. Is there any sign that the vast industry of high school and college football, let alone pro sports, is going to become games without points? Is there anything in the vast, pointless sport news, often with better and deeper coverage and statistics than real news, that people are losing interest in winning and losing sports teams? We are talking about billion, perhaps trillion dollar industries - including the gambling - where rooting and cheering and calling for the death or at least firing of coaches and players and second guessing EVERYONE'S performance is de rigeur for most of the nation. Is there any indication that hippies and these 'liberals' you fear are making the slightest dent on all this. Or does the fact that a blow out game involving children, one team from an at risk school, had some whining around it mean that competition in the US is actually threatened?

I mean seriously, if you are going to feel victimized, man at least choose an issue where there is a 1 in a million shot that you actually will get victimized.

I'd have to say, reading this thread is disconcerting. After Googling this issue of unfairness due to running up the score, it would seem we are heading to a period of "fairness"

These lessons and values are taught and instilled in kids at an early age. These kids grow up with these beliefs that being pummled in a game is not fair and it's not your fault you don't have skills and the other team should apologize. Even the winning teams are taught that beating the other team by a large score is bad. They are told to apologize and feel sorry for the less fortunate and under skilled team. So they too grow up with the belief of "fairness"

Now we are saturating these future adults into a society where they are now trained in this "fairness" When they become voters, coaches, teachers, parents, owners of sports teams, those values will be reflected.

In time, like a cancer, this politically corrupt PC Fairness bullshit will spread and make matters worse until professional sports are infiltrated with these "Fairness" thinking people.


If this doesn't sound like a fucking liberal I don't know what does.
