Read this article this morning from one of the Agriculture Newsletters I subscribe to. "Foot & Mouth disease One Step Closer To China Sources in North Korea tell me their government is now seeking help in order to deal with foot-and-mouth disease that has spread rapidly from South Korea. What I know up to this point is that North Korea is extremely worried about the situation and has already had to kill more than 10,0000 oxen, dairy cows and pigs. Rumors are there are thousands more dead. North Korea is essentially in a race against time to get this under control because so much of their crop production hinges on help from the oxen to plow the fields and haul the harvest. Oxen are so important in North Korea that the government owns them all. You have to assume if they can not get things under control, planting in May will be massively reduced. I am not sure they are in any position to see that happen, especially after last year's floods have put them in a significant food deficit. If food becomes scarce Kim Jong could find himself in a real jam. There are already talks circulating that a unit of North Korean soldiers have refused their orders and have actually organized some small type of protest after days of not being fed. With foot-and-mouth disease moving closer to China the livestock markets are certain to be on edge." Sucks to live in North Korea for MANY reasons!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1233335 United States 02/11/2011 04:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | North Korea has started preparing for a possible eruption of Mt. Baekdu, Radio Free Asia reported Wednesday Quoting: NiNzrez[link to english.chosun.com] Sad The ones that will suffer will be the ones having to fend for themselves outside Kim's military and governmental structure. Critisize your own government first. They are the ones building bunkers for themselves, NOT for you. But you still love your fascist society and keep praising our masonic controlled governments as if you and I live ''freely''. hahahha Well atleast we aren't starving over here because our leader and his elites has to have all the rarest foods etc from all over the world. He does this with money China and US has given them So I'll say what I want because I'm living my life in the USA you aren't! I happen to like my life! |
