Lol, the airman who filmed this got in trouble by his commanding officer for not taking precautions for his own safety.

Pure adrenaline must have been pumping through his veins. But to get that close to the beast and feel it breathing, though, must be in incomparable rush.
On the other hand, a lot of people died the past couple of days from these horrors and my heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones and their homes.

We don't get tornado's but we get cyclones here in Australia the only diff is your last few a few min where the cyclones last 12 hours Been in a few cyclones and they are not fun at all

Im a tornado survivor. (kinda) I saw one coming straight towards me and it just diverted and went the other direction, It ended up destroying over 200 homes in a neighboring town.

I remember it was daytime, but the sky was black and electrified, Sky was flashes of red and blue.. then it hailed golf ball sized hail and it was extremely windy.

The tornado formed in pitch black sky. The news said it was headed straight towards me and then suddenly diverted

I do have Weather PTSD to this day, When it just gets storm clouds, even if normal rain, I start to panic .

Wow about 526 or so into the video he pans around and there is an airport and a helicopter. Then it looks like a jet taking off. Then he pans around again and you don't see the jet. Yes, It looks like a jet taking off. I would be so scared to be going up in a plane with a tornado visible outside the window. How can anyone want to fly in weather like that?

I love the storms and have been in them since I could crawl into the yard. The barometric pressure itself is fantastic and causes everyone to slow down and watch what is happening. Which could be a reason why so many people aren't afraid enough, unlike yourself.

We've grown accustomed to the weather because it happens all the time. Finding bodies in the trees, having your child snatched from your hands...it makes people weak, and religious, when it should make them smarter to build shelters.
