In the event of an amphibious assault on Syria wouldn't the Marines and Navy be the primary military branches involved? If you were going to go that route wouldn't you publicly state that all the military activity involving the Marines was an exercise as opposed to publicly saying "Yeah, we're going to invade you Syria! Just a heads up so you can have a week to prepare for it."

well this just goes along with large movement of all kinds of military personnel, cargo and aircraft we've been seeing in upstate NY for the last few weeks. They keep telling us they are for "emergency response drills" - I posted on another thread last week. They only say something after people start calling police or 911 for a plane shaking their house and flying too low. It's been terribly unsettling if you live here. Also, the media never asked and neither did the people "What emergency response drill and where?" Once they told us we had likely seen "military planes." Oh, thank you, IDIOTS!

actually, this posting goes way beyond someone in their mother's basement who is unemployed. Every Tactician who has studied the Iran Invasion knows that it is a highly mountanous range - it will present a logistical nightmare for an invasion army. It cannot be invaded via conventional means. It must be hit with the nuclear option.
