Maybe a mod will take notice of this and put it to bed.

I would be curious to know if anyone else read those RFC's and conclusions on the W3C workgroup on Localization. Or a link to a mirror on the findings.

And the ridicule is welcome too. What the Hell? I keep bumping this at weird times(up late tonight so I can work on a car in about an hour while it's still mild temp out there.

There are over 300 countries right?

There are only 192 UN member states… but okay; which ones are you missing in particularly?

Bhutan? Botswana? Burkina Faso? Burundi?

I don't know. The W3C didn't name the "disfavored Nations", but the consultancy company that immediately went into business with this, black flagged all of Africa(except South Africa where the W3C met-they still meet there?) and most of central and South America, I think Indonesia, but New Zealand and Australia were "white flags."

It was odd. Nigeria was used as an example(Nigeria scammers "open a bank account so I can deposit a $100,000,000 I embezzled) "made sense", but the rest-this company was encouraging not allowing traffic from historically British Empire colonies.

edit: and other third world countries-all victims of colinialism of one sort or another(Spanish, Dutch, French etc(not like America was left out) but CURRENT "pawns in the big game.

Also, when I posted this thread, traffic to this site-probably bot traffic, increased 200,000 within seconds.

May not be significant, but why can't I find the Linky that, by lacking it, makes me so Stinky?

Last time I'll masturbump tonight.

Anybody got an answer?

I've seen a lot of Northern Hemisphere posters, and that probably correlates with development, so I'm not trying to be a wingnut here.

But that's kind of my point. How many African countries have posted here?

Are all South American ones accounted for?

Surely there are English speakers everywhere. Colonialism(that's what the papers reeked of too).

You realize that 90% of the worlds population lives in the Northern hemisphere don't you?

Hell you do realize that Africa is on the equator and that 60% of Africa's population lives in the Northern hemisphere don't you?

GLP is randomly showing national flags linked to posters. I live in Taiwan, last time I got United States so we'll see what flag I get today.

I have seen none of those. If people coud post countries they have seen on here, that would be a cumbersome way of figuring this out, and might be a fakable one, but I think if we could list All of Central and South America, and Africa, and put "pins" to the map, might settle it for me.

I think the guy who said they were random(the flags here) might have been yanking my chain. I friended a member who listed herself as being in Congo, but she has an American flag, and admitted to being in Oklahoma City.

So this is not a scientific endeavor.

More curious whether anybody read those RFC's and guidelines by the W3C.

Does it really matter? Certainly not everyone in the world is interested in following this type of forums; actually, some are busier trying to survive out there.
1 John 1–3._ 1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

Probably not(doesn't really matter.) But one last bump for the evening crowd.

Hi, Venezuela! Pretty sure you were black flagged on that site I listed earlier.

Going to leave it with this:

Anybody know of an archive of those old RFC's and guidelines? Pretty sure it was 2003 or 2004. Possibly '05.

It's not like they tried to hide it. But it's gone now. The things I read anyway. Anybody else read that stuff?
