Didn't they borrow $800 Billion 2 years ago for "shovel ready" jobs to fix that?
The road in front of my house got repaved with some of that money--didn't really need it--the traffic control sign girl in front of my driveway told me they loved these federal-money jobs because they made half-again more than normal because they got paid "union scale"--that's a far cry from the CCC camp jobs my uncles worked in the '30s, that got a small paycheck sent home to their families to help them survive. The entitlement/foodstamp/section8/99week unemployment dole crowd will never work for less than their unemployment check.
Most of that money was wasted keeping overpaid and underworked state employees on the payroll till the money ran out. They should have downsized the unaffordable bloated state workforce in 2008--they are just doing it now, hoping for more bailout from more borrowed money--IT IS UNSUSTAINABLE>
