This is all ridiculous. The main tenets of masonry are Liberty, Equality, Brotherhood, along with Relief and Truth. If those sound familiar, they were the marching cries of the French Revolution. The American Revolution was also led by Freemasons, as was America in its early stages. For example, George Washington and Ben Franklin were prominent masons.

To join most lodges, the main requirement is that you believe in a Creator supreme diety. Beyond that, you may follow any organized religion, or none. You must also agree to follow the laws of your community, state, and country and have "the tongue of good repute."

My Grandpa was a mason, my brother and Dad are too. There is nothing true what people say about them. Yeah my Dad is all about the money, but aren't most people.
