Movies with shaky camera, Who hates it ?

Hate hate hate

It is supposed to "create a more realistic environment" by simulating what it would be like to be there, but my head doesn't bobble like a cerebral palsic with parkinson's just because I walk faster or run. Someone should tell game developers as well.

Once I saw and heard those movies are like that, I did not go to see them and I never will.

I hate 'em as well. I won't go to or watch any movie that uses that sub-amateur technique.

The supposed Bigfoot Video that was posted yesterday was complete BS.

Then I saw Battle: Los Angeles...

TV series too. So overly dramatic.I think Friday night lights did that alot. cool show for the most part but can't stand the documentary wanna be "oops this is so raw and real, we can't even be concerned with holding the camera steady" approach.

That and the super glossy lense...

what its funnier then that magnetic bulb surrounding iceland ?

It was a nice something different for the first movie that did it....now it does indeed just suck

I dont' mind movies with it. It's TV drama's that it really bothers me while watching and it's one of the reasons I stopped watching TV.

I can think of any shows off the top of my head that I know used it for sure but it started becoming popular in the mid to late 90's. Law in Order comes to mind that might use that style....Just the camera is always moving, way too many switches between camera angles and way too many close ups.

It's like they'll do an extreme close up on the person talking and another actor will talk and it will switch to a close up of him, but his only line is "NO." so it quickly switches back to the other guy talking than back and forth, back and forth. Back the damn camera up and shoot both of the actors at the same freakin time!!!!!

cinematographers with early parkinson's need to make a living too...
