when one dies your spirit the breath of life returns to the father who gave you the breath of life. The body reurns to the dust and the soul goes to abrahams bosom as in luke.There is a great divide between the righteous and the sinners as seen expalained by the messiah..Abrahams bosom is a place of comfort until the final judgement.
