BILDERBERG: “SPAIN WILL BE SACRIFICED.”
Throughout the three day Bilderberg meeting, European bankers, American government officials and international money managers conducted tense discussions behind closed doors on the wisdom of Germany extending the country´s credit to paper over the indebtedness of the rest of Europe. One German Bilderberger pointed out that Germany’s resources are finite, while another German stated matter of fact that “it would be impossible in the currently rarified political and economic climate to try and convince German voters to support Spain, a country plagued by corruption and inefficiency.”

Spain will hang this out till July so the banks can take direct funding from the ESM and the government saves face by not taking a direct bailout.

The alternative is a return to the pesata.

Stalemate for now.

Why people think that Spain is corrupt and Germany not ?
In recent years Germany has sold submarines to Greece and Portugal. Both sales are involved in corruption scandals. [link to www.google.com]

A few years ago french trains manufacturers were also involved in corruption in many countries, such as Alstom. [link to en.wikipedia.org]
[link to www.google.com]

The introduction of high speed train in Spain, in the 90's, was also involved in corruption from german company Siemens. And there are many other cases in recent decades. [link to www.google.com]

Every country has to focus on reducing corruption and inefficiency (tax evasion).

But the examples you give are of German companies buying off southern European officials... Not about about German officials being bribed.

Perhaps my viewpoint is slightly skewed but I am pretty certain that there are more bribes received and taxes evaded in southern Europe then in northern Europe.

Why did the German President resided his presidency? Was it because of fraud?

Did Prince Bernhard receive millions from Lockheed?

Did the Belgian Crown Prince receive or use public funds for private projects?

Did the Dutch Ahold CEO worked with illegal side letters to manipulate the books and deceive shareholders?

Did the Dutch Vestia CFO receive large sums of money as a bribe?

and on and on goes the list...

But, you're right... corruption in Northern Europe is non-existent...

¡¡¡Si Señor!!! You are right!!!

Do you remember our PM Felpe Gonzalez (big godfather from PSOE mafia) and the relationship with the german ambassador?
The payment for his "advise" via "Convoluto" in the AVE (high speed train).

Do anybody remember how the main political parties, in this dumb country, were supported and financed (during transition) by german establishment (Konrad Adenauer, Billy Brand and others)...

They never forget (Teutons) and forgive the treason from their king Carlos I who chosen Spain and not Germany to forge an empire.

I understand your point, and I agree. But you can't ignore that reality. In addition, many of these large international trades are done with the help of diplomatic channels, you know that.

Perhaps my viewpoint is slightly skewed but I am pretty certain that there are more bribes received and taxes evaded in southern Europe then in northern Europe.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15257500

Partly true, and let me tell you something.
Did you know that 19 of the 20 biggest portuguese economic groups have their holding headquarters in other countries to earn tax advantages?
The lack of tax harmonization in the European Union is used by groups to pay less taxes in our country.
Did you know what is the favorite destination for this companies ? Yes, is Netherlands, your country.

yikes....
Banned as usual.

“It is far easier to be a weakling than to be a Real Man. Were the Earth less harsh or the circumstances of life less austere, man would destroy himself before the shrine of the languid goddess. Only Real Men can with safety destroy the tangled forests and wilderness of Earth and make from them gardens, but will those who inherit the gardens be Real Men? The law decrees that they must be, or the wilderness will reclaim its own.”

I don't remember saying there wasn't any corruption in northern Europe. As I said it should be a focal point for every country, but simply looking at the amount of corruption taking place then south europe is WAY worse then northern europe.

Sure, if you evade taxes in the South you will drive a nice new car. If you evade taxes here in the North you'll get your old car confiscated.

Not sure which one is the better.

But to me a little corruption is the same as a lot of corruption; corruption. So campaigning against corruption in the South by saying it slows growth is very hypocrite imo.

Aren't those northern european governments complicit by the fact they knew certain southern countries didn't meet the criteria... yet they turned a blind eye.

Let's not forget it was France and Germany that first missed sticking within the GDP criteria. Other countries took that as a green light to do the same.

We're all in this sinking ship together but hold tight the life boats are on their way in the shape of one happy European Country with no individual sovereign nations. All Eurozone countries will be politically and fiscally controlled from Brussells. That's been the goal all along.

It's not the average working citizen that avoids taxes - most wouldn't even know where to begin. It's the wealthy citizens and corporations with their offshore accounts that manage to wriggle out of paying taxes. I know of someone who lives here for just under 180 days then spends the remaining time in the Cayman Islands and Switzerland - he doesn't pay taxes yet lives a fantastic life. Austerity makes no difference to him whatsoever.

Sure you've probably got some people working for black money now but here in Spain there's 24% unemployment and 52% of under 25s are unemployed - they can't pay taxes because there aren't any jobs!

(Not sure why my posts show the Union Jack because although I'm British, I live in Spain)

It doesnt matter what will happen in the future, we will all be affected no matter where we are.
I am rather in spain tho. This crisis has been hitting hard where I live but there is still no drama going on. People help each other especially with food.

Besides that, we organise fishing trips, go to the woods to get mushrooms, herbs and stuf Crapload of oranges, lemons, nisperos to pick. I eat more healthy then ever, feel better then ever. Have all the time in the world to enjoy.

The weather is always nice, the beach close.
People start coming together again for a shared BBQ with guitar some drink and good smoke.

I Dont think I will be missing out on anything being poor in spain.

I would not like to be in london or new york when tshtf
