Esp. Feather Pillows.

I call them "sniffy pillows".

I'm sure it's kind of gross, but I'm polling the herd to see if this is a weird thing that my son and I do or if other people do it also.

It's really comforting smelling my sniffy.

Thanks for being kind and sharing about your personal preferences. I appreciate your input.

Definitely not.

But I do have a designated hugging pillow cuz I like to pretend it's my invisible friend Rodge.

Do I win some sort of fucking prize?

I think our pillows are special. Rodge, that's cute. I had an imaginary friend well into my 30's, so it's not like I don't understand.

Actually it does. It is a smell that the brain knows as your smell. When you are away from home, even at a place your feel secure, without your smell, the brain senses a need to be protected. Sleep may come, but it will come more slowly. Even if your favorite pillow carries the overt smell of some lotion, or body wash, your brain still smells you and releases endorphins that help create a sense of belonging and comfort.

Re: Does Anyone Else Get Addicted To The Smell of Their Personal Pillow
I call my pillow a 'sniffy pillow' too! I'm currently sniffing 'mr sniffy' right now, thought I'd google it and see if I was the only nutter but it seems there is a few of us! I used to sniff my mum when I was little, then I started on my pillow,I buy a new one every year though...I'd hate to think what my lungs look like! I don't even have much of a sense of smell! I'm 35 now and every year on my birthday my parents ask me if I'm going to stop and I just can't!
