American drivers licences should come in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Last time I was at the local DMV there sat two Chinese boat people. Im in a small town in Missouri with no Chinese. These guys traveled there just to take the test. The police need to enforce immigration laws or hang it up. Did you also know that most states DO NOT require or have a boat licence. Coming from South Florida and being an avid fisherman I can tell you that is a huge mistake not to have some kind of boat licence or course because they are a lot of people that have no fucking clue what they are doing in a boat

i believe they have to take driving classes from a school approved by their gov...unlike in the US we could learn to drive from family or friends...also there is no renewal fee as in the US.

Me too. You see the Russian laws allowing young and old to drink vodka and beer is more than ours are since it then becomes a culture of death. The way it is in the US it is viewed as a drinking problem and not the norm.

Driving a boat is not rocket science. Back in the 90's I got hired on a Detroit river tugboat as a deckhand. My first trip out, about 10 minutes in, the captain handed me the wheel and told me to keep it between the cans and fucked off for a nap. I was piloting a tugboat pushing a barge on a busy waterway with 10 minutes experience. I ran quite the antisubmarine zig zag pattern but I never ran it aground.

The only people I ever heard of who cracked up their boats were drunk, and no licence is going to prevent that.

True, but we don't have to panic when becoming seriously ill.
For most of you this means a total financial ruin while we get medical treatment for free.

In case of a longer phase without job we must also not let us humiliate with food-stamps (sure, the authorities make a lot of pressure but we get money and it's timewise unlimited).

BTW: I (45) never made a driver licence because I just don't need it. Having a car is for us by far not so necessary like for you. We can live our lives without cars if we want and it's no problem while you are lost without a car.
