this is one of Americas most noted patriotic actors. And apparently GEICO is afraid to say that they prefer socialism or at least that they dont believe in their representatives having a political voice.

An actor wants to make BIG money doing COMMERCIALS (NOT movies) as a well recognized continuing person in a BUSINESS ad campaign and then PUBLICLY does stuff that is going to piss of a decent percentage of that Company's customers?

WHAT DID HE EXPECT?

He can say anything he wants to say ... but if he is saying something that is going to negatively affect the ADVERTISING TO SELL THE PRODUCT WHICH HE IS HIRED TO SELL ... THEY, OR ANY COMPANY, ARE GOING TO TELL HIM TO "HIT THE ROAD".

Geico's business is to sell a product. "IF" he wants to work for them it is HIS business to HELP them sell that product.

He had a choice. Keep his views restricted to his non-public close friends, OR be ALL PUBLIC about it and ruin his ability to be a saleman for a product.

This guy CHOSE to HURT the business he was being paid to help ... so of course they FIRED HIS ASS.

He obviously thought being public about his political views was more important than continuing to receive a paycheck. More power to him if that is the case. He got exactly what he wanted.

It's best not to let anyone you don't know, that may have power over your position, like a boss, police, ect.. unless you know they have like views. That is if you are a Republican or disagree with obamas vision. I do not discriminate against crazy obots, as I see them as uninformed Kool aid drinkers, but they think republicans should be arrested or killed or just abused for their evil racist views. They will vandalize your car if you have a Romney sticker, steal Romney yard signs egg your house or worse.

GEICO has EVERY right to hire OR FIRE anyone they want to as their spokeperson.

It's high time to identify what corporations support or oppose our God-Given rights and freedoms and kick out or boycott those that hate our constitution.
