Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33003553 I personally know a dozen doctors who have been "curing" people for decades using only changes in diet. Wake up 'tards. if you know any doctors and see him or her at the grocery store; pay attention to what they are putting in their baskets. You won't see them in the chip aisle |

User ID: 32991702 United States 01/29/2013 09:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is mounting evidence that diet does play a part - carbs, and particularly over consumption of wheat products. Studies are showing that in countries such as China, where the population has begun eating wheat (when it wasn't a dietary staple in the past), at a certain point in youth, the children are susceptible. They are also finding certain breeds of dogs who are eating wheat products are starting to go near-sighted also (labs specifically mentioned). I stopped eating wheat last summer. I went to the eye doctor for my annual check-up 1 1/2 weeks ago and my eyes have improved significantly. There may be problems that develop over time with a poor diet, but telling someone that genetic nearsightedness or astigmatism can be cured by eating Kale is absurd and a lie...if you are born with an arm growing out of your forehead, no amount of kale or carrots is going to fix that. Listen carefully. Most if not all this stuff is not, I repreat, NOT genetic. That IS the lie. This stuff is not genetic. The causes for illness are diet. I drank green juice for 90 days and saw no improvement in my eyesight. I was on a raw juice diet--nothing else--so of course no dairy or wheat. Solution--dimestore magnifying eyeglasses everywhere--purse, kitchen, desk.....and you need different ones depending on how close you are looking. Eye Dr. said I'm not ready for "real" glasses yet--still have perfect vision 3' out and more. One strength for reading, one for looking at things up close like fingernails or splinter removal or anything closer than a book. And the computer monitor is another--as it is further away than a book. The dimestore glasses run from 10-20 dollars. OP, how old are you? Might have helped you, but it is more complicated than just getting more vitamin A. I'm 53, happened to me about 44. Last Edited by stillhere on 01/29/2013 09:49 PM "You can bend it and twist it... User ID: 33304281 United States 01/29/2013 09:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why do you think its the Kale and not the Carrot ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15740069 Its been said for a very long time that Carrots are good for eyesight. And you said you were eating alot of carrots. Kale has more beta carotene than carrots. I have suffered from ulcerative colitis for 20 years (unknown to me :P) and people with that ailment have dangerously low vitamin A levels. Taking vitamin A suppliments will kill you or make UC worse unless it is Beta Carotene, which somehow heals the gut and re-starts the process of Vitamin A absorption. Oh, by UC is cured since I stopped eating wheat and dairy. It might have been caused by Accutane or a mystery shot I got from the Air Force... fuckers. More and more it is becoming apparent that MANY problems can be overcome by avoiding bread.. there was a news article/presentation about wheat being chemically modified from what it used to be years ago, ergo the wheat sensitivities people are reporting Youtube channel: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |

Awesome post OP. The only way to improve health with diet, is to have suffered from lack of proper diet...at that point it makes sense logically and scientifically. Partially true. Research in the last decade or two indicates that an excellent diet can prevent genetic tendencies from expressing, while a poor diet can cause a genetic expression to occur which can then be bypassed on. It's called epigenetics. It's a bigger field of study than genes. The bottom line is that there are modulators that control gene expression, particularly -methyl and -ecetyl groups. IOW, the modulators are in charge, not the genes. Last Edited by TheAmericanCancerSocietySucks on 01/29/2013 10:23 PM Author, inventor, disorganizer. Let's disorganize the American Cancer Society. |

Can't really wrap my head around the how or why, would love to understand that. I have heard of people that have gone blind after witnessing something traumatic. And when they are able to deal with it their sight comes back. It is all in the mind. That might explain multiple personalities each needing a different prescription of eyeglasses. It is not physical eyesight problems but something dealing with the brain and emotions. Our brain is so powerful it can effect our sight and even our hearing when no one can find anything physically wrong with the person. |
