This seems counterintuitive. I think if we retained our memories - we're born with them, not struggling to recoup them - we'd have those other experiences with which to make wiser choices now.

It's good to see you again friend. I have experience with a couple gateways and they have helped in many ways. There is one left and I think it may be my key. I've been preparing for it. ;)

No, nothing of the sort. The images you seem to perceive whilst within your dream are built upon a synaptic bridge that opens to a source with little but whim in R.E.M.

These paths you take in the slumber before wake are laid out not in the neuronal connections to be used in this life, but through those of previous strife. Remembering details to lift a veil confuses reason within rhyme, stresses meaning in time. The sense you are able to hold, the emotional flood so bold, is most oft the sole loft our spirit need in peace to concede.

Trust me, friend, when there be need to recall an element after the fall, no aberrant memory function will prevent amend.

Do you WANT to remember everything or have you NEED?

Waste not, want not. Wanting that which one ought never to need seems to me to point out a wasted seed.

With the way this world is going and the turns that it's taking, I do feel there is a need. I try to learn what I can from my past to not repeat those same mistakes. When looking at what is happening in this world, I see repeated mistakes being made. I do not believe that is by accident.

So you can live this life fresh without past influence

Think if you are an artist would you rather have one piece of art or a bunch of different expressions of the same source?

I choose fresh canvass :)

I also believe this is why history keeps repeating itself. And also why true history in this world is manipulated so you never learn truth. Somebody doesn't want that truth getting out. We might actually change and progress.

The truth is inside you my friend...

The only thing from stopping it from getting out is you

Yes the truth is inside but I do not believe that it is myself blocking access to it. Take a look who benefits by that truth being locked away.

What information is it that you possess that backs up this statement?

Yes there are those who benefit you are correct

However this does not inhibit your will to shine that truth inside....

That I can understand.

I am glad you brought up this phenomena of that sudden and total forgetting that befalls one seconds after walking up. This is my experience and it continually amazes me. Also frustrates a little, but I do have the sense that it is what's meant to be because it is. So there it is. I have come to the point of not as much trying to get it not to happen, but rather observing it as it is. It never occurred to be that something could be being done to me to make it happen. I thought it was because of an adjustment in me that I had not learned to make.

It is an amazingly quick and complete forgetting. One second you are in the dream or you have hold on a peice of it to bring it back (and some nights I struggle intensely while in the dream to bring it back, bring it back, bring it back all night long) and the next second it just crumbles into dust like one of those Egyptian mummies in the movies when the air hits them. Why? how? what is going on? Real questions that seriously point to something happening for sure.

It happens to me over and over. Sometimes I grab the paper and write some snatches down and later they make no sense at all to me and are very mysterious. Sometimes I grab the paper and what to write is so big that I have to probe around for a place to start telling and I only get a tiny scrap before , it is just gone and I only know that something was there a fraction ago and now it is totally gone. It amazes me how different present and not present are.

I have tried every trick in the book to remember, but have not found the key yet. Interesting to find someone else at the same juncture.
