MOST University Trained people with a Master's Degree or a Doctorate are LINEAR THINKERS who have an almost impossible time of doing anything but regurgitating back the accepted "party line" of their profession when it comes to critical thinking. They can be relied up to UNIVERSALLY MISS changes in direction and dynamics at critical turning points for both the economy and political realm, note how NOBODY of importance even saw the collapse of the Soviet Union coming, let alone the rapidity of it's collapse (though a few people who operated out of the box did, Armstrong, Batra etc., but they were looked upon as heretics, no actually lunatics, by the Academic World). If Armstrong claims that there is a swing date of March 22, 2013 in the US Political Cycle then EVERYONE who is a thinking person should sit up straight and pay attention!! Like any major "swing date" the first changes "may" be subtle and not obvious at the time ... but one should put on one's thinking cap and watch like a hawk to see what changes DO appear that give confirmation that a "swing date" has happened. (but sometimes the changes are so sudden and obvious that one doesn't have to think much to understand that a major change IS OCCURING) Time for everyone to put on their thinking caps wrt Armstrong's analysis that the US 224 year cycle swings over on March 22, 2013. Martin Armstrong, being a cycles person, takes the LONG MARCH OF HISTORY view of events and then processes that backwards into the PRESENT and how THE PRESENT fits into that LONG TERM VIEW DYNAMIC. Virtually all Policy Makers and Academic Types utilize the opposite approach: Taking the Present and Extrapolating that in a linear (near straight line) fashion into the future. Because of how Policy Makers and Academic Types generally think and process information they have almost NO ABILITY to notice changes in current underlying trends AND they have an equally hard task in placing current events into the larger context of long term trends, or reversal of trends. For an education in the entire realm of economics, nation state power, mass behavioral patterns and changes in those patterns, and large social trends one NEEDS TO READ MARTIN ARMSTRONG'S WORK.
