Theoretically, could one be hypnotized to notice/be aware of no other people on earth?

So, for example if a hypnotist gave the "suggestion" to the subject that the subject is the only human being on earth... is this possible? Anything like it ever been tried?

I think I remember reading about a study done where one male subject and one female subject were hypnotized together to believe they were alone... I may have read it in "Holographic Universe".
