A Oncologist told me today that in Obamacare, you can not have chemo if your over 70

I wouldnt have chemo at any age.

I may be wrong but from things I have read it will be that way with a lot of medical care.I think a lot of treatments will be based on age and if you dont have many years left then a hip replacement for example wont be covered.Especially the very expensive treatments.
A lot of people are going to be surprised.I know it cuts back on the number of visits thats covered yearly and some of the name brand meds that were covered now have to be generic..So its going to be a toss up as to what is and isnt covered.

Chemotherapy is a real killer, and it will force many more people discovering the nontoxic, existing cancer cures.

PS. A guy at my work (around his 40s) took some weeks off work to have 6 weeks of chemotherapy (osephagus cancer.) He seemed 'Ok' before leaving. Well, he had massive liver pain just after finishing his whole chemo course, went back to hospital, and was dead within a few days.

Anyone over 70, it is up to the IRS to determine if you are VIABLE, I suppose that means your taxes paid exceeds your cost to live.

IMO on your next visit you should ask him to print up a list of the last 20 patients in his hospital that received chemo over 70, that shows how many of them were killed by the chemo.

This is like complaining that your insurance company won't cover your 70 year old grandfather's foray into professional boxing.

I believe it. My Sister is a nurse, and she just told me that they are already eliminating a lot of common medical tests for the elderly as medicare will no longer pay for it. She was really upset because she works in a nursing home and she said this is going to make trying to care for the patients very difficult.

People over 70 will not receive any care.

I can confirm this, I am 50 and sure they'll treat me once they find the problem. And there I go down the cycle of testing or milking my insurance.

My aunt is 70 and at the same clinic they stuck her in a nursing home to die after she got an infection from a mesh.

The entire system needs something, I'm not smart enough to figure it out.

If our medical system ends up being like the VA we are truly doomed.
