Has anyone ever heard of a Megladon Hammerhead shark? I saw one
Ok here's the story. I was with my family down in Florida doing deep sea fishing about 7 or 8 years ago. We had a good fishing day but we had no clue what we were in for. When we were coming in for the day I went up top with the captain where he was steering the boat.

All of a sudden off in the distance I saw a fin sticking up out of the water. We were pretty far away from this fin so the captain drove the boat twords this fin. When we approached this fin it was easily 5 feet tall out of the water. We got close to the fin and we saw that it was a HUGE Hammerhead shark.

We were in a 40 foot boat and we pulled up along side of it. It was right on the surface and no less than 10 feet away from the boat. Everyone on the boat got a great look at it and saw it was a hammerhead. No one could believe what they were seeing. The shark was longer than the boat!!!!

All of a sudden I look at the captains deck hand getting her fish tackle ready. She then throws a baited line right in front of the Hammerhead. I was like is she really going to try and catch this thing? It seemed completely out of the question. I mean this thing would have snapped the line like a little thread.

The shark just looked at the bait and kept swimming.

So thats my true fish story shark

I cant even find fossil record of a megladon Hammerhead and they say the largest hammerhead is only 20ft. so this is something thats completely out of the normal.

Sounds like a cool story and I'm not doubting you, but are you sure it wasn't a whale shark? They have been known to grow over 50 feet in length. Here's a "baby" that scared the crap out of a kayaker in south FL. last year.

Sounds pretty awesome, but no one on a deep sea fishing expedition had a camera?

I was on a fishing boat leaving st Simmons island area as we left the bay and headed towards sea, I saw a shark fin similar at leas 5-6' out of the water. The captain slowed the boat. We never got a look at the entire shark but it was not a killer whale it was a shark. We guessed it to be over 20 - 30 feet. Can't say it was a hammerhead but it was huge

nice one!

I saw a massive fin come out of the water that was also about 4-5 feet out and definitely a shark... others saw it too...

what is cool about your sighting is that it echos people who report dinosaurs in the Congo, S. America and some pacific islands...

the creation has fallen quite a bit since the flood... many animals pre-flood were much bigger than today's variety: bison, sharks, lizards, people...
