Especially since it's election time next year. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31970698 I know the last few times stuff like this has happened, the Indian government have seemed like they don't want to do anything (presumably because they don't want to start a war) but the people are very much in favour of a war. Is that about right? yupp ! Not all that surprising I must say. I think this will only escalate if Pakistan do more than firing on border posts. If they make a move to actually invade or launch an airstrike or something then it might though. |

Quoting: z3rschmetterling It depends. India (well, the Indian government) seem fairly happy to similar reply tit-for-tat, and unless there is civilian loss of life I think most Indian people (maybe not those on GLP Lol) will see that as "doing enough". |

What are u going to do about that? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44415444 They do that fairly regularly. It's usually in some inhospitable mountain area and they stay for a couple of weeks then pack up and leave. Also, this might be why Pakistan see the need to escalate this: [link to world.time.com] Pakistan in turn accused India of launching “unprovoked” artillery fire across the Line of Control (LoC) that divides the Indian and Pakistani controlled halves of Kashmir, claiming that the shelling had killed a civilian and severely injured another. The Pakistani military said that the Indians had also opened fire on two check posts. Quoting: time |
