My mom always taught us never to approach any strange animal.

The ribbon idea is maybe not bad, but really kids should not be running up to any dogs that they don't know.

I had a cat that lived in the store. You wouldn't believe how people would just come up and maul him. They really had no manners when it came to animals. He had some pride, and didn't appreciate being woken up by strangers grabbing at him while he was sleeping. Who would?

A yellow ribbon indicating a dog might not be friendly is a good idea. One would hope parents would teach their children never to (rapidly) approach an unknown animal. One would hope that animal owners either have such animals behind a privacy fence (if unleashed) and while on public walks and streets always to be on a leash.

Unfortunately, the large number of animal bites an injuries only proves that dog owners and members of the public remain very ignorant and irresponsible when it comes to pet ownership and behavior.

The owner is taking the dogs right to its own political expression and behaving like a typical oppressor by making the dog wear a degrading symbol, disgusting!!!!!

Why not just keep animals that are not CHILDREN Friendly away from children areas or where CHILDREN congregate...

What is more stupider the DOG or the OWNER...

How about tie a Yellow Ribbon around the stupid owner...

It sounds like admitting you know your dog is dangerous.

Although the concept is nice and I get it. I bet 100 dollars this will end up badly for one of the dogs and their owners in court in the next year.
