the reason vegetarians/vegans feel superior to meat-eaters

I don't feel superior to those who eat meat, but I do feel remarkably better about myself after quitting meat. I'd like to spread that positive feeling to my loved ones and anyone else interested in listening.

Ever watch a dog sleep? Ever see them twitch and phantom run? That's when they're dreaming. If dogs can enter REM sleep and have emotional responses to the subconscious, that proves the existence of a conscious mind. Cows are beautiful creatures. Go to a petting zoo and look at their eyes. I could never slaughter a conscious mind, nor could I ever feel comfortable dining on their flesh.

I was vegan for several years, good diet to cleans and rid your self of disease and of course sparing the life of cute harmless animals. Now I raise my own chickens, hogs, rabbits for butcher. Also raise goats for milk and butter and have lots of chickens for eggs. I LOVE IT!!! I feel much better than I did on the vegan diet, alot more energy. I under stand not every one is cut out to be meat eaters weather it be health reasons or political. The key to good health is finding the diet that suits you best as long as the food is of good quality NON GMO! Organic and preferably locally farm raised.

meat is bad for you.when its consumed in a western way with.excessive.salts breads and sugary drinks galore. meat fulfills a deeply laden psychological need. a vegetarian can fill his gut full of plants but he will never feel the satisfaction of a man that ate a burger....the body needs it

I understand what you're saying. I love animals more than people- its easy. they're conscious but they don't talk so its easy to love them.

NO, I lost no muscle-mass with the vegan diet but I work hard and supplement. Its expensive but worth it. Alot of vegans ive known in the past would eat fast food that was vegan but its very bad for you. Its still supporting the problem! I like to call them Taco Bell Vegans.

I'm not going to disagree with you about feeling better about yourself for quitting meat. But, you say that you want to spread that positive feeling to your loved ones and anyone else that is interested in listening. That statement means you assume that everyone who quits eating meat will feel the same as you do, therefore you feel superior for not eating meat because you have adopted a lifestyle that would make EVERYONE who tries it feel better than they feel now.

You have to understand that not everyone who would quit eating meat would feel that way, the fact that you assume that everyone would means you feel that your lifestyle, food wise, is superior, and therefore you are superior. I'm not criticizing you or attacking you, I'm just trying to point out that you may subconsciously feel superior to meat eaters and not realize it.

Having worked for a vegan restaraunt (though I am not vegan), I understand the attitude you are talking about OP. But not all vegans are like that. I think it depends on whether they are are simply vegan for health reasons or because they don't believe in killing anything. The latter reason is were you get those with snotty attitudes. Some are like radical religious fanatics. We had one lady get extremely incensedat us for using maple syrup because we were draining the life force from the trees.

What about the vegetarian woman who went to jail for killing her baby because her veggie diet was starving the child of essential nutrients? Does she feel superior?

The key folks is to eat minimal meat. Vegetarians go to the extreme and end up hurting themselves.

We should eat primarily fruits and vegetables. Then every couple days have some fish, chicken, or occasionally beaf. But it must be organic.
