My mother was raped and murdered shortly after flying into Delhi airport from her home in Australia. Supposed taxi driver from airport with friend whom decided to steal, rape and kill someone all of a sudden.

7 years of waiting for justice, police corruption, Supreme Court appeals..
Finally over recently.

And whole thing stinks...
I reckon police set up two innocent guys to protect someone else.
All the evidence pointed this way...evidence planted on accused, the DNA tampered with and from the start it was about protecting image of the airport and tourism industry. Arrest anyone as quick as possible to ensure a killer was not on loose at Delhi airport.

During my involvement I worked with and helped many other Australian and other families desperately seeking loved ones or justice or investigation and both research and stats showed India is perhaps the most dangerous country in the world for a tourist to visit...

When you consider

Rape, murder, theft, missing persons.

The statistics are alarming and all countries are losing many tourists killed or missing while in India. Others gang raped.

Clearly, local women suffering too...

Worst part is India has it's head in sand...

Doesn't want to admit it and do something about it...
Instead pointing finger at other countries...like Australia when an Indian student was bashed in streets of Melbourne....ironically by another Indian student....

Problem is...foreign students are third biggest export earner for Australia after coal and iron ore. Indian students make up majority. Same happens I the UK. This means Aus and UK..prob US and Canada too never speak up and criticize India about tourist safety....instead pandering to them because their rich students bring in so much money.

International organ trade is another big reality....
And with so many locals and tourists found dead without organs suggests customers may be paying a premium for westerners organs and many are being harvested in India.

All up....India is in denial...
It is...as numbers show....the most dangerous country on earth for tourists.
And my mother...a regular visitor got off a plane, into a prepaid taxi and never came home.

I only know 2 people from India. One is the nicest guy, and the other has been convicted of rape TWICE! Some cultures just have no respect for women, and those people don't belong in the United States.

Inda is a run down country, and now they are here by the millions running down america, the land of opportunity. Hotels, gas stations or any thing else the stupid white trash need, the indians are providing it...several local service stations were recently sold to folks from India, Shit holes now.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a parent too in another country and it was years of flying in for court and other proceedings because the person that killed my dad then decided to sue my family...that is nothing compared to what you must have gone through tho... Big hugs

It was a sad loss...
But I moved to a place of acceptance quickly and let things I could not control unfold and resisted being filled with unproductive anger, rage and hatred...

India is a special place and a proud nation but like everywhere they have serious problems they are covering up.

If it wants to walk the talk, it needs to face up to many issues and tackle a number of things.

No doubt, the West has far more serious and complicated shameful problems and challenges but India too is far from perfect.

Peeps, I got some news for ya- these people were hardened criminals with previous crime records & did drugs every night near that place.

And I would advice all women foreigners not to travel alone in India. Bring a male companion along.

They do that to every host nation they flock to.

Instead of bettering themselves and integrating into a new culture and learning to raise themselves up, they prefer to drag everyone and everything down to their level. Stink, trash, homes extended and extended until they look like third world hovels, big ugly plastic temples etc etc...

I am an Indian. Although I don't live there but I feel really sorry to hear all this. The problem is the level of corruption in India is so high, that the common man cannot do anything about it. If anybody tries to go against the the ruling party at state level or central, he will be soon killed by an accident. It is really difficult to solve any problem here with the level of corruption.
I'm hoping for a change very soon.
