We are grateful dear Heavenly Father. Thy will be done.

Death happens. It is a part of life. As awful as it is why not help the living. I put donor on my license. Of course I hope that nothing happens but things do happen sometimes. Just as this child has a heart problem. So if death happens why not try to help others? That is what I do not get. I do not look at it as though a person is being defiled. God made the human body and he made our brains. If we can help people by studying what happened to someone then we may be able to prevent it in the future. Even with all we know there is much we do not.

I really wish this family all the best but I have to share a story with you all.

There was a person who was gravely ill.

About 100 million people prayed this person would get well.

The person still died within a month.

I will not divulge who the person is because I don't want to exploit someone's misfortune but it is all true.

I'll leave it at that.

Just a reminder that prayers can be for lots of things. Like the parents safety as they travel back and forth so tired from the hospital. Or the child to maintain a will to live. For the parents to have the energy to deal with their other children. To pray for the doctors to have guidance to make the best choices for Weston, and the nurses.

To pray that his body heals and does not fall to infection.

To pray that this child feels love even when his parents have left and he is alone.

To pray for the feeling of joy for the moments they have together.

To pray for the will of God to be done and for those involved to be able to cope with that will.

To pray that everyone praying and involved will be uplifted and blessed, to share light and joy with those they encounter.

Sometimes there is a plan we don't understand, but praying helps those prayed for and those who pray, it does no harm.

I've been totally against heart transplants since my cousin was declared brain dead, the hospital heavily pressured his parents to donate his organs, then he WOKE UP!

But that's not this child's fault. I wish they would put more effort into developing a mechanical heart to help children like this.

I will pray for God's love to shine down on him. It would be wonderful if his body healed itself. But at the very least I hope he is spared any pain and he can enjoy his time on Earth.

To be honest, many children die everyday due to unfair causes.
Yet we are so worried about one baby? A baby doesn't have the memory to register pain/suffering and carry them. Yet, there are much more children suffering and dying.

For the record, I can remember back to the cradle. You are wrong about babies. They can feel and remember pain and suffering.

I remember when my paternal grandmother died when I was 6 months old. I remember being in her kitchen, after the funeral, with all the family. I remember when my godparents gave me a Sleepy Doll for my first birthday. I don't remember everything from when I was a baby, but certain things I do.

Much love, prayers, and hope go out to this boy and his family.

We know this child's name and by doing so we are lifting our voices in prayer for him and for all the suffering of children whose names we will never know.

This in from today:

"Hi there everyone, I'm so sorry it's been a couple of days and I've left you hanging. Weston's doing ok, maintaining sats in the 70-80 range mostly,

but he does have some de-satting when he's agitated or coughing. This is what is stopping us from extubating.

He needs to consistently recover on his own before we're safe taking it out. This is scary for me...it's risky to take it out and put it back in or trach him.

Otherwise he's doing ok, just par for the course. March 12 can't get here fast enough for daddy and mommy.

We're just trying to hold on. Thanks for the prayers!"
