Shabby chic stuff that's just old junk | |

If there aint no chic it's just "shabby" and if you can't put some sanding and painting into the item, it belongs in the trash not on craiglist for $100! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43134964 That's all. I see you've been taking a break from crusing the MFM section.... |

I came across some really cute pieces but ended up clicking on crap as well. Finally tonight I happened to read a blog advising not to purchase anything upholstered second hand because of bugs and shit. That freaked me out and so glad I did not go ahead with it and but anything. Even though there's a clean and beutiful looking chesterfield style I was going to check out tomorrow:( |

Too much risk of bedbugs and other unwanted vermin. T For Texas, T For Tennessee! The virtue of courage is a prerequisite for the practice of all other virtues, because otherwise one is virtuous only when virtue has no cost. There are times when something needs to be done, and yet we know that if we step up and do this needful thing, we will pay a heavy personal price. -C.S. Lewis |

I guess I just thought if I make sure it's a single family home, the place is clean and I check out the item a little I'd be okay but after reading some of the bed bug infestation horror stories no way should someone take the chance. Unless you can afford to have it professionally steam cleaned. And who want to go through the hassle? |
