And you have to obviously then pay for the gas you use. Which the way the world is going, the price of natural gas is going to go up, way up. I don't have much, but I have trees. |

The mayor made the proposal, along with those for other sweeping regulations that he said would update emission standards and help curb air pollution. Instead of wood-burning fireplaces, de Blasio wants to allow only cleaner-burning units, such as those that use natural gas. I wonder if he means wood stoves as well..... They really are doubling-down on making it impossible to take care of yourself in the event of a emp or something like that. Meh. Ever been to NYC? Not much room or ability to put wood burning fireplaces in new high rise apartments/condos. It won't have much effect. Kind of a hot-air story really. (pun intended) |

Here, condo's upsell real fireplaces to get more people in. I am like a child, when someone tells me I can't have something, then I want it. lol |

Sure....DeBlasio is an extreme left wing idiot.....but this won't really change anything from the way it was. The only buildings that have fireplaces are the really old ones....so when renovating those you just don't scrap the old one. No biggie really. Do they love the surveillance and being told what they can eat, drink and use as heat that much? Besides of course not having their 2nd amendment rights. It is crazy. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1113183 NYC is Liberal Socialist cesspool....that's how. |

He already has most of the city putting the hate on him for trying to destroy the Charter Schools which are doing FAR better than the Public Schools. ....and the high income earners are now bailing on NYC as well because of him and taxing the crap out of them...so there goes the tax base. Bottom line......he's a LEFTY NUT who is hell bent on making NYC look like Detroit. |

You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway. |
