This is just one example of China corporations running with immigrants now. Speed and flexibility. Take for instance the iPhone. There's the proverbial story about a foreman at a Foxconn facility waking up 8,000 dorm-residing factory workers "immigrants" in the middle of the night to promptly start 12-hour shifts to produce the iPhone after an assembly line overhaul, resulting in 10,000 iPhones produced daily just 96 hours after a major production overhaul. Factories in Asia can "scale up and down faster, particularly China, have the competitive advantage, both in cost and efficiency due in most part to their immigrant work force. Sara |

The same thing happened in China (by The corporations). It was well written about in early 2000's. China never has figured out how to stop it, just as we will not figure out how any sooner. The corporations are tired of paying 20+ dollars per hour and the immigrants will work the fields that we will not. They will also work for less money in the factories, along with longer hours. Quoting: Sarawoods Remember back years ago (early bush day's) when all the large corporations where threatening to move to Mexico? We gave them tax abatement's and incentives to stay. Well! now they still want the lower paying labor. This is all a (have my cake and eat it too) ploy to do just that. Yes, the liberals have learned to turn it into a incentive for them as well. But look at the corporations and where we are headed. The corporations have told them to play along or shut the fuck up. [link to www.forbes.com] Sounds like the latest "twist" on slavery. Old game, but now, the slaves come to us. The corporations profit. The coyotes profit. The middle class will dissolve as the economy slows to the common denominator, that being the lowest class. Just like an army can only go as fast as its slowest segment...and many will fall to the wayside. In China, when one worker dies, another 100 are standing in line to take their place. It will be like that here with the influx of cheap labor, desperation, and the dissolving of our borders by the current administration. |
