Sometimes that fishy smell will come through in the egg smell. Perhaps the broilers raised for eating were fed a similar mix? Either way, eating store-bought meat is inviting all the crap they inject them with into your body...steroids, growth hormones, antibiotics, etc. *pukes* |

They are not content that these are our land food and that many won't eat the fish, they're making sure you eat the FISH. The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. User ID: 57366096 United States 07/12/2014 04:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So twice in the last month I bought fresh chicken breast and it tasted like fish/crab. I paid a dollar more a pound, it said organic or all natural or something like that. This time it was more crab flavored last time was really fishy and the texture was even really weird and rubbery like before you cook it, but it was cooked. Me and my son BOTH noticed it and I had to take them back, girl at store said they been having problem with Tyson. Quoting: Cashmire 58088371 So what are they doing to our chicken to obtain 47% profits? [link to online.wsj.com] Are they processing this chicken that tasted like fish/crab in China? I am really grossed out right now !! [link to www.bloomberg.com] Could it have been some weird genetically modified chicken? |

I was just talking to someone about this yesterday. We both agreed, chicken, including the Organic Variety, no longer tastes like chicken. It all tastes weird. I already don't eat Red Meat and Pork for other reasons. But now I'm on the verge of giving up chicken cause it tastes funky |

User ID: 25635188 United States 07/12/2014 07:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you asked about raising chickens ... as three day old peepers, you can get them for less than two bucks a piece ... you need a big box, a red heat lamp ($15 for both) and a bag of "starter" feed (for "meat birds) $15 ... in about two weeks you can switch out to a fifty pound sack of "meat bird feed" that will give them all the nutrients they need to grow really fast ... a dozen chicks will prob take a month to eat that bag - $15 per bag - six months once they are fully feathered (two - three months) and big enough that the kats won't kill them, you can put them outside and let them scratch for a living ...but you will need to continue feeding them "crumbles" - just not as much when they are fully grown, - six to eight months you "process them" so this is a high "ball-park" figure ... $24 for the chicks (a dozen) $15x6mos for feed = $90 (plus 15 for the lamp and bulb -first time) makes a four to five pound organic chicken cost about Ten bucks by the time it gets to your table ... if you shop on line - an organic chicken cost $25 + SH - I don't believe that they sell them in the grocery store - even with the stamp - anything mass produced gets "medicated feed" guaranteed [link to www.blackwing.com] and that's what you will pay for a "laying hen" on craig's list - that will lay an egg a day - for seven years ... rabbits are even cheaper, because you can feed them grass - and they reproduce like mad ... I just put a dozen of them in my freezer today ... cost me less than chicken - get more protein for your money ... kids will never know the difference if you tell them it is chicken ... got one roasting on the Barbie now ... yum Last Edited by SunnyDaze on 07/12/2014 07:36 PM |

User ID: 25159884 United States 07/12/2014 08:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | (CNSNews.com) - The price for fresh whole chickens hit its all-time high in the United States in October, according to data released last week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In January 1980, when BLS started tracking the price of this commodity, fresh whole chickens cost $0.69 per pound. Today it cost $1.55 per pound and this is not an "organic chicken" - and as this thread, states, it doesn't even taste like chicken ... home grown "organic" chickens cost about $2 a pound to raise yourself, but you will know what you are and are NOT eating Last Edited by SunnyDaze on 07/12/2014 08:08 PM |
