The reality is that masks are not very effective, nor gloves nor all of these other things people are suggesting. If they were effective then all of those health care workers who have contracted this special brand of microscopic death wouldn't have caught it.
The best bet is to stay away from people.

Masks and gloves and hand washing may not be 100% effective, they are barriers, like condoms. Maybe 95% effective if you know how to use them? (N95 blocks 95% particles if fit tested, there are still your eyes...) Still if you are working in an Ebola ward, there is always a chance. With thousands of exposures, that small percentage becomes a certainty. I'd rather have 90% protection than 0%, for when exposure is not avoidable Do you have any sources that you recommend for advice concerning the proper use of masks and gloves? I'm a teacher, I can't teach wearing a mask. But, should I wear gloves in the classroom.
