I LIVED the first depression, and DON'T want to live through another !
Men with ten mile stare; bread/eggs $.12 a loaf/dozen; 20 firecrackers, all the way from China ... ONE penny !
The rich/elite of the town who stared right through you, like you were NOT THERE, even though the belonged to the same church !
Hunting for meat for the table; having a BIG garden; Mother slaving over hot canning jars in August and September. AND, wearing you brothers hand-me-downs.
It is RIGHT ON our door step, but most deny it, for the FEAR it engenders !

They got zero skills in those areas, they only riot and loot, and look to the government for food and shelter. This time is really going to suck. I beg to Differ!!! Canning is a lot of work....... I put up 72 pints and 16 quarts of Venison this week.... Munching on Venison Jerky right now!!
