Ok, this story is breaking all over the web. Right after the staged bloodbath that took over 30 lives in Mariupol, an Ukrainian TV channel accidentally exposes a NATO mercenary running away:



The accent is clearly a Brooklyn or Jersey accent. Possibly Boston but definitely New England based. The cap, uniform and ammo belt is standard US Special Forces or 'Academi' mercenary outfitting.

Whats more interesting is what he carries...looks like an Iraqi Tabuk sniper, I see the slotted muzzle, hollowed wood stock, I did not notice a scope,these are used by the Iraqi army. There is a variant the Yugoslavian M70. THis military op has no boundary or specific nation,they are about the orders and the mission.

Mercenaries are not the same as U.S. Military. It's a job to them and so really none of anybody else's concern. I thought it had been verified these are mercenaries. Our govt has no control over mercenaries.

And there's no such thing as a New England accent. What most people think of as a New England accent is a Boston, Eastern MA, and downeast ME accent. Accents in rural western MA, New Hampshire, CT, VT, northern ME are different.

I live 10 min from RI and thats not a RI accent. I am still sticking with NY or Brooklyn
