I would say: be very, very choosy about what you put into your body. even about what tests you have done. the PSA test, for many years considered a necessity for older men, was dropped recently. biopsies can be dangerous. the risks of any surgical procedures are: bleeding, infection, and death. Merck the makers of Vioxx admitted to 100,000 deaths caused by the drug. Actuaries saw a statical bump in deaths during the time that Vioxx was on the market and estimated that the number of deaths caused by Vioxx exceeded one million. Sixteen percent of people admitted to a hospital are harmed by the care they receive. Scary stuff. |

True! There are times for the wonders of modern medicine! But, I ask myself if people are being programed to visit regularly under the guise of health care, when it is really disease-care which lines the pockets of an entire industry...? Did you read about the USDA reneging on cholesterol? Now they say it never did cause heart disease...studies show...? Now they tell all those people whose lives and diets were dominated for years by the bad advice of their doctor... not to mention dangerous anti-cholesterol drugs!!! Yikes!!! Craziness!!! And now studies in other countries are showing that small prostate tumor would never have killed you anyways!! Breast growths? Same thing! This is criminal!! The term pace maker is not accurate, however, they can speed up her heart if it beats too slow, but they can do nothing to slow it down. Also, she had a flu shot that almost killed her. They didn't know what was happening to her, so they removed her spleen and gall bladder and where discussing what else to remove when they realized it was ITP, an immune deficiency which presented itself and almost caused her to die right after her flu shot. Now she can't be around anyone who is sick because it will kill her. Had she never went to the doctor, she would live longer and her quality of life would be better. |

If they screw up or do something wrong, they will be slapped with tons of lawsuits and the surgeons are the only ones to take the blame. Whereas if a medical doctor makes a mistake, then there is always a drug company to blame. Although I do believe many medical doctors try their best, they are not as financially responsible as most surgeons. Your very life depends on it!! Being retired from a large corporation, I have full medical coverage but have not been to the doctor in 25 years. I am in great shape. . Wonderful! You have it all if you have your health. Stay way from doctors!!! In 25 yrs. I have had to visit once... for stitches, (I am a horsewoman and hence a fence-builder...one fencepost reached out and gave me a big kiss!!Ouch!!) I sweat out the flue with blankets at first onset when my immune system is strongest, so haven't had the flue in years...like 20 years. Did get the 'chemtrail cold' going around last year but kicked it's ass through a visit to my son, whose healing hands made me feel better with just a hug!!! People think I look like I am in my forties, and ask me how do I live such a healthy and exuberant life??...I tell them ... #1 stay away from doctors!! When you see a relatively healthy person, a friend or relative, get bad sick or dead, and the only thing they did different was to start a doc's pills and surgeries, and other regimes, well, by the time you get to be a survivor my age, you begin to understand the correlation!! Also on my list: No cavities...not one. A life of sugar avoidance causes this! No soda pop! EVER!!! I have always been a health nut, eat a home verg garden diet with home raised meats, only a little meat though. Well water, mountain air, lots and lots of fresh air and sunshine...and exercise like hiking!! No nothin' wrong with this 58 year old, just living large and thanking the Lord for it every day of it!! It does seem that surgeons are sued for malpractice more than other MD specialists, and since they are the first line of triage in many instances, as you point out, they get the most lawsuits and blame when something goes wrong. Generally speaking though, most people look at doctors like they are super-human individuals, with superior knowledge than what their own bodies tell them... hmmm...
