The Sears Tower was purchased by Blackstone yesterday for $1.3 Billion
NEW YORK (AP) -- Blackstone is buying Chicago's Willis Tower, once called the Sears Tower, from 233 South Wacker LLC for an undisclosed amount.

The Willis Tower is 110 stories and the second-tallest office building in the U.S. It is the fifth-tallest office building in the world and was for many years the world's tallest.

The Wall Street Journal put the purchase price at $1.3 billion, citing unnamed Blackstone executives.

"Sears" doesn't exist. It's "K-Mart" after they re-branded following the buyout.
