The futility of hope for humanity
What does it mean to be human? Do we continue to hope that somehow miraculously mankind will overcome greed, avarice and war? Do we acquiesce and accept the beast within or continue to hope? What is it to sit in judgement enveloped in our egos thinking that somehow we are better than others because we loathe the one dimensional self serving brutality of humanity as a whole. We cant watch the news anymore, we don't have the strength. We cant help anyone anymore, we've lost our will. Are our spirits so bruised, beaten and tired that our faith will become but a distant memory? Is it possible that love and fear are the only teachers in this universe and if so are we doomed to repeat our lessons for eternity?

Understand that the perception of reality is in the eye of the beholder. Existentialism is subjective. We create our own pain and suffering and at the same time we entice and develop our inner beauty. Neither is to be admonished, rather, all aspects of our lives are to be embraced and cherished. Do not dismiss your third eye. Look around you and marvel at your creation.Your body is a vessel adjunct and within a dimensional universe of unlimited possibilities.Your mind is the interpreter, the key to your sorrow and to your freedom and infinite bliss. In this chaotic world of pain and suffering never forget that selfless love begets inspiration creating experiences awash in a storm of unimaginable colour. If thought is your palette, then deeds are your brush, and faith is your canvas. May we all paint our realities as exquisite living masterpieces!

Why do you speak for all? Generalising is never right, there are always exceptions.

Yes I'm generalizing. Love exists everywhere so why isn't that reflected in the world as a whole? I'm really just asking questions. There are no right or wrong answers, perhaps only more questions.

That's the problem. Love exists everywhere.

Love this. Love that.

It holds no truth in itself.

Love exists everywhere, right. Yet what and whom we love matters much.

Good point.Truth is reality and everything else may be just fluff.

Re: The futility of hope for humanity
Do this and then you'll know
Have specific, positive intentions - think them, then speak them out loud frequently and they'll materialize
Reject and don't accept greed, avarice and war, they only exist because of thoughts
Only the divine is within, nurture it
Don't resist anything, love and accept unconditionally
You have strength and the power to move stars and planets
Help others now, you don't have to go far
You're body may be bruised but the spirit is at full strength as it made a choice to be here for this. Unleash it
Don't accept fear, it's not natural
Man is an expression and form of divine love, go be the teacher

I used to believe that and some days still do. I've tried to teach to no avail. You are intuitive. My questions about humanity as a whole is me questioning my purpose and very existence I think. Thanks for the pep talk.

Re: The futility of hope for humanity
I feel you OP. I've basically given up on humanity in the current social paradigm. We are absolutely doomed. Quite frankly, the world is so dysfunctional and the ego has been so over-inflated that I feel like a complete alien here and to be honest, I look forward to either seeing the world fall into complete rapid doom so I know it can be reborn as a new world, or my own death to escape the horror that is the mental illness of human 'culture.
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” - Gautama Buddha

I guess man has lost their way, you are you, you live your life finding joy and love, in the smallest of things. Being good to family and friends, and learning to be a blessing to heaven, not a friend of hell.

I am feeling the same way lately and maybe was looking for a little light in the darkness. Like a previous poster I used to hold more hope and filled my days with positive intention but I feel downtrodden by the constant barrage of negative imagery and content. If you stop watching the news its on the radio,on tv,in movies and then maybe by proxy in the actions of others in daily life. How often do we hear of uplifting stories to raise our spirits? Maybe a 5 minute segment at the end of the news. I sometimes wonder if there are forces at work to keep people resonating in a lower vibrational state. If on the other hand our reality is an outward reflection of our inner fears then there would seem to be little hope for salvation barring a sweeping change to our very natures.

I see what you are saying. Perhaps in the microcosm of love the macrocosm will follow suit.Thank you for your message.

The apple is the knot in gnostic circuses

Why do people believe, still, in 2015 this is literal?

Man was made in Gods image, woman was made in Man's image

Yes, in our current state of blissful voluntary ignorance we are doomed and good riddance. Humanity has so much potential and weve squandered it.
