Just last week the US gov posted a listing on the fbo dot gov website for packing and shipping services from the US embassy in Istanbul.

Wow! could they get any more lucky on the timing of that! Getting out just before a major power outage - t's almost like they knew it was coming!!!

A Turkish prosecutor demanded the acquittal of all 236 suspects in the Balyoz (Sledgehammer) coup plot case on March 31, on the grounds that digital data in the files submitted as evidence in the case does not constitute evidence.

Sledgehammer is an alleged military coup plot targeting the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) drafted in 2003. The military is alleged to have planned drastic measures to foment unrest in the country in order to remove the AKP from power.

Those measures included bombing two major mosques in Istanbul, an assault on a military museum by people disguised as religious extremists and the raising of tension with Greece through an attack on a Turkish plane and blaming the incident on the Aegean neighbor.
