They say you end up in the bardo which is like a dream. If the dream turns sour (into a nightmare.. and it would in time) it can force you into a new body unless you become lucid and realise its all illusion. For these reasons I think it's important to be a lucid dreamer and to be able to overcome nightmares. Lucid dreaming is like preparation for the afterlife. |
