User ID: 47952635 United States 04/16/2015 05:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is not good for US corporations... it makes them less profitable exporting items overseas and is a major cause of our outsourcing of jobs to foreign countries... the only thing a strong dollar is good for is blowing up giant debt bubbles and helping banking speculators continue to speculate. 3M sent out an email to employees explaining how much profit they have lose (actually how much revenue they can claim) at what the dollar trades at right now vs the EURO compared to what it was at last fall. Of course they are looking for ways to cut costs because a lot of the stuff at our plant goes overseas... over 2/3 of it in fact. When the dollar is strong it's more cost effective to make the item overseas and ship it back here... Last Edited by Sholomar on 04/16/2015 05:35 AM |

It's either an indicator of record financial fuckery perpetrated on you by the Wall Street jew or an indicator that Europe and most of the rest of the world are just as fucked as you are. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49298237 You can't tell me that in 1981, when factories still existed by the hundreds of thousands in your country. That the real industrial production of that era is equal to the dog washing, and car detailing, service non-economy bullshit businesses that make up the us business sector today. No fucking way. well we still ashead of your moose detailin baby seal clubbin xcuse of an economy. |

When the US stops buying they take everyone down with them, especially their biggest trading partner. We've got serious consumer debt issues up here which is helping to prop up our housing market and create a bubble economy. Personally, I lost my job recently because my company thought they could get someone to work for less and the jobs I'm seeing all come with less pay. |

In the US ONLY, the purchasing power of the dollar is roughly HALF of what it was in the 1980's. Last Edited by -Adam- on 04/16/2015 07:28 AM |
