...in awe of many things User ID: 68626197 United States 06/02/2015 05:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Excellent thread idea! One of the things I find amazing are these statements: "The holographic principle states that gravity in a three-dimensional volume can be described by quantum mechanics on a two-dimensional surface surrounding the volume. In particular, the three dimensions of the volume should emerge from the two dimensions of the surface... ...Using a quantum theory (that does not include gravity), they showed how to compute energy density, which is a source of gravitational interactions in three dimensions, using quantum entanglement data on the surface...." While I understand the usage of scientific terminology, I wonder if it somehow clouds the basic aspects of the science it's trying to untangle. For me, my mind creates 'models' built upon the words I'm reading, which helps me follow what the research is attempting to explain to my very unlimited limited understanding. A two-dimensional surface becomes amplified into a three dimensional object. Something of a 'singular' (or dual) quality 'somehow' becomes quantified so that it attains 'quantity'. Consider a mass-less photon spinning, radiating energy. Does this radiant energy qualify as now having a three-dimensional value? I have not gotten that far yet to know if this is correct. Anyone? It's easier to picture in one's mind than to prove with the equations of test results or theories on paper. I find it all so very interesting, even when struggling to parse the language used into a visualization that makes much more sense. All that said, I welcome any comments, even if they lean towards a "WTF?" variable. How else am I to learn anything? Thanks for posting this. . The pyramids and the bermuda triangle should be tested, or perhaps one of the earths energy vortexes along the magnetic field lines. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27004391 Sure, why not. There goes magnetic marble, driving through magnetic field. At once, some iron sawdust bump into it's head. "Oh, it must be gravity, that what's pulled me and that sawdust" |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77981253 Spain 09/05/2019 03:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The holographic principle is widely regarded as an essential feature of a successful Theory of Everything. The holographic principle states that gravity in a three-dimensional volume can be described by quantum mechanics on a two-dimensional surface surrounding the volume. In particular, the three dimensions of the volume should emerge from the two dimensions of the surface. However, understanding the precise mechanics for the emergence of the volume from the surface has been elusive. Quoting: Hunter S. Thompson Now, Ooguri and his collaborators have found that quantum entanglement is the key to solving this question. Using a quantum theory (that does not include gravity), they showed how to compute energy density, which is a source of gravitational interactions in three dimensions, using quantum entanglement data on the surface....
