Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47407422 unrefined, organic, in morning before drinking or eating 20 minuites. I had a painful tooth and few weeks it stopped hurting! Has not hurt since. As an aside, and to your point: Although I would swish with H202 after flossing (for three years now) I still had one little nagger up in between my upper right teeth recently appear that would always feel annoying while flossing. H2O2 was not completely taking care of that, but now that is painless after flossing too. We may be onto something more here....Is it possible Coconut oil takes out small bacterial infections in teeth as well? Stuff that H2O2 can't resolve? This is awesome! |

I went from them poking my gums measuring pocket depths, having receding gums, and a 3 times a year dental visits - to - the last visit was superficial coffee stains, annual check up, and saves me money. 3% H2O2 while showering, every morning. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 69093322 United States 06/10/2015 10:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Long story short: Quoting: Guy Smiley 18195701 I was at the health food store picking up some food grade hydrogen peroxide for myself, when I spotted a bottle of liquid clorophyll. I also purchased the clorophyll and started adding it to my grape juice in the morning. I believe clorophyll is great for chelating heavy metals that have accumulated in your body. However- do not mix it with juice! It is bad for your teeth! Well, after about two weeks of this, I noticed my teeth were losing enamel fast and pitting on the surface. This was a real problem, it got pretty bad really quick. But I know the dentist can fix it with a white bonding agent and then smooth it out, as I have had this done in the past. I then found out about coconut oil helping re-mineralize your teeth, so I tried swishing cold pressed coconut oil every morning instead of going to the dentist. After two weeks I noticed it was helping. Now after two months, my teeth are almost completely smooth again, and whiter than ever before. Damn! I also swish with hydrogen peroxide once every three nights or so, but that had nothing to do with re-mineralizing my teeth. Although, H202 always takes care of any soreness that occasionally crops up on my gums or teeth, and also makes them a little whiter. Haven’t been to the dentist in five years. I personally don’t like to go anymore, for reasons that I won’t go into here. I think I will also skip the dentist this year. Coconut oil is truly amazing. This is a miracle of natural medicine. Passing it on… How does food grade hydrogen p. differ from the stuff that can be bought at drug store? Do you brush with it? Gargle with it? |

Guy Smiley (OP) User ID: 18195701 United States 06/10/2015 11:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, are you doing 20 minutes of oil pulling or just swishing it for a couple of minutes? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67252060 And how long with the peroxide? I don't know the brand right at the moment. It is cold pressed organic coconut oil. It is white and stiff in the jar. You grab some after brushing and let it melt in your mouth and swish it around. I only can do it for about five minutes while I am getting ready to go out the door in the morning. I don't have time for more than that. For those people that say it makes them gag, I am sure they also do not like any type of fruit or vegetable. You know the people who live off of fast food and frozen pizza. The taste of a natural substance just makes them sick. They have a long road ahead of them. As for H2O2, I take 3% from the store and dilute it by another half. So it is probably about 1.5 % dilution that I swish at night, after brushing. Only twice a week. I am not picky about the brand, because I spit it out. However, aside from gargling, if you are going to ingest H2O2, then you have to find pure food grade and dilute it. Do not ingest the pharmacy variety, as it has harmful preservatives. 'nuff said. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67003430 Yeah, it's not enjoyable, but I think it's worth it. I gag when I spit it out. Pretty much every time. From what I read, you're supposed to swish for 20 minutes. 1-2 Minutes is fine for oiling and cleaning the teeth. who could do that for 20 mins? First time I spat it out after 10 seconds. but you get used to it -and the teeth feel as clean as going to the dentist |

You sir, did not bother to read 1 page of this thread (and it is only one page), otherwise you would not have some of these questions. The thought of your teeth breaking off and cracking from using coconut oil is ridiculous - you might as well say you started on a broccoli diet or a banana diet and your teeth stated cracking and breaking off. Your post, sir, is truly that idiotic. |

Because I'm referring to using it as a method for getting rid of toxins, not just for your teeth. I've read quite a few articles on it, and most have mentioned doing it for at least 20 minutes. Maybe this is different than the oil 'pulling'...where you don't just swish it around your mouth, but push it between your teeth. |

Even when I first put it in my mouth...especially when it's hard and it has to soften before I can move it around my mouth. Yuck! |

I've been going coconut oil crazy I've been putting it on cold sores and it took them away in like 2 days, I've been drinking coconut water full of potassium, I've been putting coconut milk in my coffee, and I've been rubbing my feet and legs with coconut oil because they are swollen, I've been putting coconut oil on my scalp because my hair is thinning, and I put coconut oil under my eyes cuz they were kind of dry, I've been rubbing coconut oil in my cuticles, I love coconut. |
