Cheap, Safer, OTC Alternative to Prozac: Generic Benadryl

Prozac has a stimulative effect,while benedryl has a sedative effect.Completely the opposite.Benedryl has a lingering affect after you wake up and may cause a traffic accident in the unwary.Benedryl does not cause "REM" sleep,so it really is not a healthy sleep. For this effect,use Nyquil.Not a good anti-histamine,but better for sleep.One molecule different in a preparation can mean 100% different reaction.

They took Actifed off the market because of CRANK HEADS!! It's no longer sold over the counter nor by perscription I don't think. Nothing worked better on sinus than Actifed, and I never built up an immunity to it as you will Benedryl in the long run.

I was willing to show ID and sign for Actifed like getting a prescription filled but instead they took it off the market completely.
That chaps my ass and makes me wish ill on people who make and use CRANK!

Been taking Benadryl at night to help me sleep.....been dreaming like crazy at night too. I don't think that can by right about it not allowing you to go into REM stage sleep, as that is the stage where you dream.

I dream when taking benadryl, and am not groggy in the morn.

I've been taking 2 benadryl every night since this was posted almost a month ago.

I didn't even know I was depressed until this "therapy" began to work.

And it really does work. My adult daughter began taking it, too, after she saw the positive changes in me.

I hope they don't ban benadryl if a lot of people begin using it as an anti-depressant.
