My mother just sits in front of the tube taking it all in. It is like her closest friend, all very sad really.

I was explaining my position after she explained hers. I didn't call her any names, but I did say that you can't just accept what you hear on TV as the real news. I said that it is mostly just propaganda generated for public opinion. Thats when she went off on me and I knew I better shut up.

My grandfather who passed in 1980 would never have believed that something like this would occur in my lifetime. I saw the picture of the rainbow White House and I was both shaken and sickened.

All of my life the White House has stood for morality and strength and freedom. Something you could not quite put your finger on. I think what I am trying to say is that the White House has always been a symbol that was more important for what it did not say and what it did not get involved in than anything else.

I somehow knew that the Supreme Court would eventually tragically rule this way. That wasn't too difficult to see.

When I saw the White House though, I knew that this was a much much more significant event than I imagined. I didn't expect Obama to pollute the office of the Presidency like that.
