It took months for the crash that happened in 08. It wasn't immediate. They are too far past the tipping point now, but they might be able to hold it off for a little while. They are going to try because you don't think they want to give up all of their money. They are as heavily invested in that damn market as anyone. Probably more.

But, God's going to bring it down around their ears.

All the same trades could be executed on different markets. On TV one guy estimated there was about 11x redundancy in markets, which he said was more than needed and led to fragmentation of the order flow and less effective market depth.

Hence the failure of one of those 11 parallel markets, the NYSE itself, could not have prevented any crash if traders wanted to trade that way.

You have no idea how the game is played. TPTB OWN the stock market. They make shitloads of money when it goes up and shitloads of money when it goes down. They frontrun every transaction using HFT computers. If you think they lose when the common man does, you're sadly mistaken. They win big when he wins and they win ever bigger when he loses.

They did, and is it's not much different than China telling stockholders they can't sell their shares for the next six months, it's just on a much smaller scale.

My friend if they indeed wanted to scam you, closing open orders is not the way to do it.
They would keep your orders and slip you into a loss and blame it on a technical glitch.
I think you do not understand how trading works.
