The case of the missing pears
So I've got this handy asian pear tree in the back yard. I was admiring the number of fruit on the tree last week noting that they were approaching about golf ball size. This morning I go out and see the tree and there is not one pear to be found anywhere! None on the tree, none on the ground. Dang! What pesky varmints like asian pears? Or did my tree get visited by hungry aliens?
A supply-limited commodity, instantly transferable worldwide, person-to-person, is intrinsically and uniquely valuable.

Had a friend his fruit trees were full of fruit
and next day all trees were bare next morning.
He lives near woods and a large creek and he
found a Bigfoot print.
The print was found near the outdoor pool!

Ahh, but the pears that's... that's where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist, and I'd have produced that key if they hadn't of pulled the peartree out of action. I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers...
